TownBeef FAQs

There is no such thing as a dumb question and being asked so many I figured it would be a good idea
to have an FAQ section. Please be patient while we update this.

How and what do I need to sign up for this league ... ?

[Signing up is easy and our dates never change.  Spring Captains meeting will always be the 3rd Sunday of February and opening day is always the first Sunday in March.  Fall Brawl Starts the first Sunday in November.  You must be 18 to join and you must follow the steps on our Join page in order to play in our league.]

Can I enter the Championship Series if I'm the only team in my state ... ?

[Yes even if there are no teams in your state you will still represent your region.  You will have to win your region to get to the state games.]

Are there a lot of injuries ... ?

[We have way less injuries then a game with pads and far less serious.  What good are helmets?  You can't grab them, you can't hit with them, they make for a dangerous weapon on the field, and your visibility is limited.  We do have nose bleeds but far less leg injuries then a game with pads.  This game is safer without pads!]

Who plays in our league ... ?

[We have a wide array of athletes from all levels of football.  Some guys just have natural D1 talent but didn't have the resources to follow through on their college careers.  Some guys may have wrestled or played Rugby and just always wanted a shot at football.  The level of talent is high, be prepared and in good physical shape]

What type of physical shape should I be in ... ?

[Walking on to the field isn't easy unless your under 24 or 25 maybe its not that bad.  Being in shape will help your team and prevent the chances of injury.  Skilled position guys should be able to do 50 push ups and run a a mile in less then 9 minutes while beg men should be able to do at least 30 pushups and complete an 11 minute mile.  These are not requirements just suggestions.]

Do scouts watch our videos ... ?

[Yes, I've made several highlight films for college coaches and we've had players get recruited right out of TownBeef to play college football, arena, and semi-pro football.]
