< Back - B.I.C vs Lightning After a pale showing in the 07 Fall Brawl, the BIC now have a stacked roster with some new play makers. A self proclaimed passing threat with a legit QB and big receiver threat they should have no problem scoring points. Good linebackers plan on stopping the run and their defense says it's ready! The Lightning runs alot of 4 wide sets and have a decent passing game but a better running game. They play good team defense and have a little more experience then BIC. < Back - Bombers vs. SE Boyz
After completing a near perfect season last year they SE Boyz made it to the post season against a heavily favored Broncos team. Early turnovers put the SE Boyz in a hole that would have buried any other team but their high powered offense put up 9 TDs that day but only to come up 2 short in the highest scoring game in TownBeef History! In 2008 the Bombers come out of the gate against a worthy opponent. The Bombers feature a balanced attack on offense lead by the leagues top passer and a very aggressive defense that lead the league in turnovers and TDs last year. < Back - Comets vs. Head Hunterz
The Comets are an elite team that underachieved last season. They have balance, size, and amazing speed. I think if they put it together this year they will advance in the playoffs. Unfortunately in week 1 the Head Hunterz are standing at the end of the tunnel. The Head Hunterz put out a very intimidating 7 on the defensive side of the ball. They push all the piles back, jam receivers into oblivion and put vicious hits on opposing ball carriers. Defense wins championships but the Head Hunterz have struggled and are looking for answers from their offense. This should be a great game but I'm going with the Comets in this one. < Back - Small Army vs. Diplomats
With a year under its belt, the Army looks to get out of the gate with a W this year. A home town favorite will be playing his last game as a Small Army Player before he ships off over seas to defend his country. Friends and family will be there to rally this special Player and his team to victory. The Diplomats are a new and young team in the league. Promising to play hard nose football and sell out ever play, just the type of formula good teams need. They are heading into hostile territory down in Tuckerton, New Jersey this Sunday and may come out with an L to start the season. I'm going with the Army!	Diplomats win 11-0 Daballz Picked Wrong

< Back - Madison Park vs. Falcons
A new team to TownBeef but no rookies by any means. This group has played backyard football with it's neighboring Bombers for many years before TownBeef started. Their defense is lead by a 6'7 monster with alot of closing speed and brute strength. He will be an immediate consideration for the leagues top defensive linemen. On offense they can run it and throw it. Having played together for so many years they have the chemistry and unselfishness needed to win football games. The Hackensack Falcons are revamped and ready to rock in 2008. 1 of the only original teams from the first day of TownBeef this team has plenty of experience in 7 on 7 to win alot of games this year. They will be tested in week 1 against Madison Park in what should be a great game. I'm going with Madison Park this week.	Madison Park wins 5-1 Daballz Picked Right

< Back - Liners vs. Rams
The Liners are riden high with their recent accomplishment of winning the 07 Fall Brawl. Having won by forfeit, they still crawled through the mud defeating the Head Hunterz and the SE Boyz to get to the championship game. Having been ridiculed by Punch93 and called Sucker Champs, the Liners have a chip on their shoulders and get to play the team they would have faced in the Fall Brawl. The Liners have one of the Smartest QBs in the game with plenty of weapons around him to do some damage. Their defense is lead by their interior guys and their secondary doesn't give up many big plays. In the 07 Fall Brawl the Rams lost the opener to the Comets but bounced back beating the Predators and the Bombers. Arguably their best player Deveron Thompson, will not be in attendance in 08 because he'll be in camp with the Chicago Bears. This will be a big loss for the Rams who face their first test against an Elite Liners team. I'm going Liners.	Liners win 5-3 Daballz Picked Right

< Back - Outlawz vs. Rockland Boyz
The Outlawz feature a dual headed running game in Westbrooke and Lordi on offense and their defense is lead by LB P.Y.N. Recruiting free agents from several other teams the Outlawz hope to put together enough Chemistry to be a competitor in the 2008 Season. The Rockland Boyz will represent TownBeefs first New York team and hope to come out with a W in week 1. Their captains are not trash talkers and haven't claimed to be anything special. It's these type of humble dudes that usually are good football players. I think the Rocboyz are a team thats been playen together longer then the Outlawz and team chemistry will play a huge role in week 1. The battle for Union City will take place between two totally different teams. The Pound Squad does what they are called, they pound the ball and depend on their size up front to push people around. The Razorbacks are a fast team that depends on their speed and fines to get the job done. The battle for Newark New Jersey will take place when these two heavy weight contenders go at it for 70 minutes of hard nose TownBeef football. This type of game as we know is how the Wreckin Crew likes it and from what I hear the SWG should be able to match up with the leagues top teams. The Wreckin Crew is a close nit team with plenty of balance and one of the best defenses in the league lead by DE Flako. On offense they run alot of wishbone and have the perfect personnel to do it effectively. This will be a good way for the SWG to see what TownBeef is all about when they face one of the leagues best in the Wreckin Crew. I think the Wreckin Crew will pull away early but will be holding on to a slimmer lead as the SWG gets untracked later on in the game. Both teams are off to a lofty start in 08 getting blanked in their openers. The Falcons struggled with turnovers and defending a very good passing offense in Madison Park. The Falcons new QB is a better runner then passer, if he can make less mistakes and more plays with his feet the Falcons defense will step up and get them to 1-1 this week against BIC. The Bombers offense was held to 3 TDs tying their all time low in week 1 against a good defense in the SE Boyz. Their defense had some holes in coverage but came up with big turnovers and a TD. Dodging a bullet in week 1 they hope to bounce back to normal form against an upset minded Lightning team. The Lightning has one of the better defenses in the league including a fast secondary. They are committed to the run on offense and have some weapons at the receiver position. The Lightning is a smart football team that will pull out all the stops this week against the Bombers but not enough to put them away. I'm going Blue.	Bombers Win 9-2 Daballz Picked Right

The Comets put together a magnificent performance against a great Head Hunterz team only to come up short in overtime. This is a frustrated team that knows it is capable of great things if they don't turn the ball over. The Pound Squad will be up against one of the most physical defenses this week and I think they're pounding running game will come up short forcing them to take to the air if they are down. I'm really enjoying what the Head Hunterz are doing as a football team. These guys don't even need a football they just want to go out and hit people on offense and defense. They have a very impressive running back that is lights out fast and and there defense is arguably the best in the league. I'm going with the Hunters to improve to 2-0 this weekend. Who are these SWG guys from Newark that came down and blanked the Wreckin Crew in their TownBeef debut. From what I hear they play very well as a team, run the ball well, and lay the wood. The Liners are the complete package on both sides of the ball. The play hard for each other until the last wistle blows and this usually gives them a W. I'm really on the fence with this game after the impressive performance against the Wreckin Crew I'm not sure if the Crew had a bad week or the SWG is the truth. These two teams share some interesting similarities, great speed, great athleticism but they are missing the bruisers on defense. I think Eric from the Razorbacks is one of the more gifted backs in the league and when he gets lose he wont have a problem running away from the Outlawz. The SE Boyz are breaking through that area from great team to elite team. They are now solid at every position and have a stand out athlete at QB in Quan. His passing is on point and when he takes off and runs he's even more dangerous. PMB and Ceaz are threats at the wideouts so Rocklands defense better be strong everywhere. Much improved from last year the SE Boyz defense is very strong up front with Punch and Nighfall, Lou and Guss are at the backer spots along with a good cover corner in #6. The battle for Trenton will take place this Sunday as these 2 well matched teams battle solo in their own backyard. Both teams are new and adjusting to the new 7 on 7 format but the Reapers have some play makers in their passing game and their big men on defense. After beating the Bombers in the Fall Brawl the Rams are off to a rocky start at 0-2. The Rams have a young QB that can really fire the football and lethal receivers that will chew up most secondarys. The Bombers need to be careful in this game, the Rams are a quality team and they're not hearing 0-3. The Bombers are a little banged up missing a starting corner and Mikey Shakes in the backfield but revenge is on their minds and I believe the take care of the Rams this week. After loosing a heart wrenching opener to the Head Hunterz the Comets bounced back in a huge way defeating the Pound Squad 5-2. If they are thinking they have an easy game this week they're wrong. This Spartans Team from Jersey City held the Head Hunters to only 1 score, 2 less then the Comets D and all though they didn't get on the boards they're offence is getting untracked quickly. I think this will be a tougher game then the Comets think and if momentum swings in the Spartans favor they could leave with an upset but I'm going with the Comets again this week. Who are these Diplomats, new team quietly 2-0 and nobody mentioning them at all. They beat the Rams last week by a point and blanked the Small Army in week 1. I have not seen them play but I have seen the Pound Squad. The Pound Squad relies on their running game and if they can pound it 3 to 4 yards a clip they'll do it all game. Easily game of the week as these two powerhouse squads match up with an undefeated record on the line. SWG is riden high after taken down the Wreckin Crew and the Liners back to back. The Head Hunterz get equal recognition taken out the Comets and the Spartans. There are alot of similarities to these two teams. The Head Hunterz Defense is lead bye one of the leagues top Safties in The Predator and cornerback Assasin. Both teams have great running games but the SWG seem to be more polished in their attack. Whatever team is forced to abandon their running game and take to the air I think will lose this game. The Wreckin Crew's defense was back to normal last week holding a quality Madison Park team to 1 score. Playing good defense and busting a few runs here and there will make for a close game each week. I don't think the Wreckin Crew can afford to let the Rocboyz hand around in this game, if they don't put them away they'll have trouble late in the game. I think Flako, Edot, and JHova will make the big plays on defense to hold the Rocboyz offense. If Unyce gets 15 touches that boy can move. In 2008 more teams are running the ball exclusively but nobody with a bruising backfield duo like the Pound Squad. This will give the Bombers a look they're not use to so that should be an interesting match up. On defense the Pound Squad has the beef to go head up with the Bombers rushing attack but do they have enough speed on the corners to contend with some pretty fast wideouts? Even though these are two Vet teams, they've never faced each other before. QBs are even but I give a little edge to the Liners for better play calling, I think Bikerboy (Liners) is a top 3 back in the league that not many know about and the Liners are going to need to grind it out with him a little more then they would like to. The Comets have a great secondary and will create similar problems for the Liners passing game that the SWG did. Even more impressive is their big men that often stack the box on defense. The Diplomats lost a close game last week while the Head Hunterz were torn apart against SWG. I think the Head Hunterz will bounce back this week and show they're a playoff contending team. Madison Park will have their hands full this week especially with their signal caller being a game time decision. Madison Park is starting to look like a playoff team and this week is their chance to prove it as they battle arguably the best offensive unit in the league. Madison Park has not faced a QB like Quan and he's good for a few big game breaking runs every time he's got the ball....oh yeh he's the QB so he's got the ball every play. Madison Park has maybe the best Dline in the league so they'll be OK there and their secondary is no slouch either. After getting beat week 1 the Falcons have bounced back resiliently winning their next 2 games. The Razorbacks have some skill but fail to put it all together for Ws. The Razorbacks defense is suspect but I don't think they're offense will have too many problems going score for score with the Falcons. I think the Falcons get their 3rd in a row this week. Normally I'd call this a trap game for the Wreckin Crew but they're hungry and I don't see them loosing that many games this season. The Spartans have a good defense and their best athlete at the QB position. He can make some plays there but he'll be up against the defensive end Flako the guy no QB likes to see on the other side of the ball. The Razorbacks are underachieving this year. Blessed with speed and good team chemistry they lost a close game to the 3-1 Falcons last week. This week they match up against the BIC. Both teams hungry for a W but I think Eric (RB Razorbacks) gets lose this week and they get the W.

The Bombers are riding an emotional wave after finding out they lost their signal caller for possibly the rest of the season. They will look for answers on offense after losing 3 starters including Mikey Shakes one of the most feared backs in the league. The Bombers Top rated defense should have no problem confusing the Diplomats with their blitzing schemes and uncanny ability to cause turnovers. Bombers get the W.

The Rockland Boyz proved to themselves last week that they can ball with anyone in this league. The Comets are suffering a huge loss losing their starting LB Dez but their veteran Defense should bounce back and with Enve back at QB it looks like the Comets should be in good shape. However, I think if a few things don't go there way their heads can go in the tank and they can wind up losing a game they should win. I'm going with the upset minding Rocboyz this week!

< Back - Liners vs. Head Hunterz
The Liners look like the most poised team in the league right now. Everyone is contributing on that team and they're firing on all cylinders. The rushing tandem of Bikerboy and Bear is more then any defense could deal with and Pete with his tricky play fakes can burn you deep. The Head Hunterz got the pieces but the puzzle isn't all together yet. The Predator is a game breaker but won't make enough plays this week to beat the Liners.

The Lightning have nothing to lose in this game, everyone is picking SWG but a team with nothing to lose is sometimes a scary team. They'll need to pull out all the stops this week. Reverses, Double Passes, Statue of Liberty and whatever else is out there. SWG has too much speed and speed kills so I'm going with the SWG.

< Back - Outlawz vs. Pound Squad
After an impressive performance last week against the Bombers it would seem the Pound Squad would have no problem erasing the Outlawz. I truly believe that certain teams create certain match-ups and you can't judge anyone on what they did in their previous game. The Pound Squad is the biggest team in the League by far but they have some flaws. Their offense is not versitile and if you can put the brakes on #11 you could slow them down. Their defense is very aggressive but a team like the Outlawz could negate that with speed. I think this will be a better game then what people think but if the Pound Squad don't turn the ball over too much they'll win.

Madison Park is another team that suffered a huge injury when they found out their starting QB and FS is done for the year. They moved their RB Bonner to QB and the boy looks like the white Mike Vick. I think the Army will struggle stropping Madison Park on offense and this could get ugly quick. I'm going with the Beavers.

The Falcons are 3-1 but there are haters out there saying they beat nobody. This week there is no doubt these boys from Jersey City play hard and are on a war path. With Mimz possibly taking over the QB duties for the black and orange I think they pull out a close victory this week and send a message to the league that they are ready for post season this year.

After a huge upset against the Outlawz this week the Reapers are starting to put it together. The Seminoles are brand new and inexperienced and after getting blown out by the lighting last week I think the Reapers could go for 2 in a row.

< Back - SE Boyz vs. Wreckin Crew
Game of the week, the battle for 2nd place, two 3-1 teams it doesn't get any better then this. Usually we talk about this QB maken a difference or this Wide Out being a threat but with such even match ups across the board this game will be decided in the trenches. The SE Boyz lost their starting QB last week, I feel like a broken record already. But they didn't miss a beat when the rookie came of the bench and lit up the score board with his accurate passing assault and elusiveness in the pocket. I think all around the SE Boyz have more team speed but I think the Wreckin Crew's defense will need to get a good pass rush in order to be in this game. If SE Boyz have time to pass and win the time of possession battle they'll get the W.

The Diplomats are a young team with a bright future in this league. They play with alot of heart and even with their 3rd string QB at the helm managed to give the Bombers all they could handle in last weeks battle. The BIC is also a new young team in this league but I think the Diplomats might be the toughest challenge they'll face to date. I'm going with the Diplomats this week.

The Rockland Boyz have faced the best teams TownBeef has to offer and have banged out each and every week. They're as tough and fast as any other team but new to 7 on 7 style football. With post season hopes fading, the Rockland Boyz will look for a big upset this week to show the league what they're all about. The Bombers could easily be looking past this New York team as the highly anticipated math up with the SWG is the following week and are going to find themselves in a battle. With Shakes, Dirtt, and Mills all out the Bombers offense is searching for answers in their absence. I think the Bombers might find themselves trailing at some point in this game but will capitalize on a big turnover to edge it out.

I'm pretty sure this will be a first for TownBeef as 2 brothers square off against each other both playing the QB position and both have similar styles. The Outlawz seem to have plenty of talent at all positions but for some reason are coming up short week to week. The Lighting may have less skill but more organization and game plan. Most people would think this game would go the Outlawz easily but I'm saying OT for sure and have to pick the Lightning.

< Back - Madison Park vs. SWG
SWG continues on its war path tearing up it's opponents week by week. Allowing the fewest points in the league to date their defense is very fast and their offense methodical. The most impressive thing about that team is their chemistry and their passion to make plays. Madison Park is an up and coming team in the hunt for a playoff spot. With 2 losses a win this week would greatly improve their chances to get into the post season. Madison Park has plenty of weapons and this game will be closer then any other that SWG has had so far. I think M. Park gets the W this week.

< Back - Spartans vs. Pound Squad
The Pound Squad is the Baltimore Ravens of TownBeef. They got a huge defense that punishes offenses and Jamal Lewis at running back. The Spartans are the only ones to give the Reapers an L this year and they are a worthy team but I think the Pound Squad has too much muscle and get the W this week. Pound Squad is not the type that win big or win pretty but either did the Ravens that won a super bowl.

< Back - Razorbacks vs. Small Army
The Army got their first W this year and they're stoked about it. They have new life and new confidence going into this week against the Union City Razorbacks. The Razorbacks are underachieving this year, they have one of the more talented backfields in the league but have KOed themselves from games with bad decisions and turnovers. I'm rooten for the Army this week but they're probably gonna come up short.

< Back - Falcons vs. SE Boyz
One of these teams are going to fall to 3-3 this week. The SE Boyz are very depleated with about 8 guys missing this weeks game. I don't care what team you are 8 guys is 8 guys. I think at some point the Falcons may find themselves in the lead during this game but Deli is a savy TownBeef vet, he'll put the right players in the right spots to improve to 4-2.

< Back - Liners vs. Reapers
Tune up game for the Liners? The Reapers are 4-1. This is a must win for the Liners this week to stay in the playoff hunt but I would expect the Reapers to give them fits with their deep passing ability. The X factor will be Bikerboy, if he rushes for 2 TDS Pete and company will take care of the rest and the Liners get the W.

< Back - Head Hunterz vs. Wreckin Crew
With best Oline and running back in the League the Wreckin Crew are groomed for a title shot this year. Oh yeh, their defense is pretty disgusting also. The Head Hunterz have been using the Predator at QB and all though he's a running threat against most teams he's going to have to deal with every QBs worst nightmare, Flak AKA Jason Taylor. The Head Hunterz get by on size, speed and raw talent but thats not gonna be enough this week as they lose to a well prepared Wreckin Crew team but 2 or more TDS.
