Week 1 Predictions |
Recap
- Bombers vs. Ligers: (4-3)
The Bombers found themselves in strange territory today when their
running game was shut down. The Bombers QB Poore switched up
the game plan and was forced to spread the offense in a shot gun set
where he threw and ran for a TD. The Bombers were also down
3-1 and were unable to stop a Ligers rushing attach in the first
half. Poore also took an INT to the house accounting for 3 of
the 4 scores. This game ended in the Bombers favor 4-3.
- Predators vs. Falcons: (6-5)
This game lived up to what it is, a beautiful rivalry that went into
triple overtime. Dymes and E.Fox ran the show on Offense
rushing the ball while Chubby Moss and the Falcons Passing Game
matched every score. E. Fox took the game winning TD on a QB
draw with 2 ticks left on the clock.
- Comets vs. Broncos (5-4)
It looked like the Comets would take over this game scoring 2
TDs on defense the 2nd coming on a Rated R pick to the house but
Bellville showed no signs of slowing down. Their fleet footed
receivers and power running game gave them great field position all
day. This game also went into overtime where the Broncos
scored first and then picked off a lofty pass in the end zone to
edge this one out 5-4 Broncos.

Week 3 Predictions SE Boyz
vs. Bombers:
Almost losing their first game to the Ligers the Bombers seem to be
untracked with a struggling offense and a defense that gave up more TDs
then ever before. The Bombers face another new team this week that
put up a convincing victory over the Falcons and featured an offense
that scored more TDs this season then anyone else. The Bombers are
beatable this year so do the SE Boyz got what it takes? We'll see
but I gotta go with the Boyz in Blue for this game.
Preds vs. Ligers: **Game of the week**
The Ligers are a new team in the league and have faced 2 very tough
opponents but hey thats TownBeef and this week it doesn't get any easier
facing the Preds. The Ligers don't seem to think E.Fox is "That
Fast" well he is and Dymes got faster. The Ligers shut down the
Bombers rushing attach convincingly and they'll have their hands full
again this week. The Preds Defense is very fast but they're up
against a bigger team this week. If the Ligers play good I think
they're size and strength can overwhelm the Preds but a veteran team may
exploit these weaknesses and come out on top. Oh yeh, Speedy is
comin back also. I like the Preds in this game.
Falcons vs. Shockers
Who are the Shockers this year? The Co Champs of the league in
March only lost 2 games 1 in the Beef Bowl and the other in overtime to
the Preds. Is Bellville that good or did the Shock have an off
day. We'll find out soon enough as they face a Falcons team that
could be eliminated by a loss. I like the Shockers. |
Recap
- SE Boyz vs. Bombers: (3-1)
The SE Boyz bring size and speed to the table and feature one of the
best O lines I've seen this year. Manny and Jerry limited the
Bombers pass rush and also blocked viciously downfield springing
Quan (QB) for some huge gains. The Bombers D bent but didn't
break only allowing 1 score and intercepting 3 passes the first by
Daballz to kill the SE Boyz opening drive. Poore lead the
Offense Throwing 2 TDs to Mills and Mikie Shakes capped his day with
a score as well.
- Predators vs. Ligers:
All though they are eliminated the Ligers are probably the fastest
team in the league with some pretty big boys in the backfield
starting with Mimz the QB. Facing the toughest teams TownBeef
had to offer they were up against one of the most balanced offenses
this week that features a very scary running back in E. Fox.
The Ligers frustrated the Predators running game in the beginning
and then Dymes started going vertical tearing apart the Ligers
Secondary. This spread the Defense out allowing Fox to get
busy scoring 2 TDs leading to a Predators win and Ligers
elimination.
- Shockers vs. Falcons (4-3)
The Falcons were up 4-2
late in the last minutes of the game and the Shockers scored to
bring it within 1 point but it was too little too late. The
Falcons QB Killa Ham gave the Shockers defense problems all day.
He runs like E.Fox and throws like Dymes, he's some kind of weapon
to look out for in the playoffs. The Shockers showed no signs
of quitting. Playing without Drama, Big Nig, Tug Boat, and a
few others they went to their abusive ground game handing the ball
to their big men pounding the Falcons D. It wasn't enough to
hold off the Falcons and they finally get over the hump defeating
the Shockers for the first time in Town Beef History.

Week 4 Predictions SE Boyz
vs. Broncos:
I'm not gonna beat around the bush, if the SE Boyz want to be in this
game they will have to be more versatile on offense. The one
dimensional QB running game will not be enough to match the points
Bellville is capable of hanging up. Quan (SE QB) is a game breaker
but there should be other players on that team to spread the ball to.
Bellville's secondary is stacked with speed and very opportunistic when
teams take to the air, not good news for an SE Boyz passing game the
gave up 3 INTs to the Bombers a week ago. The SE Boyz Defense is
above par, they're big fast and hit hard. I think if the SE Boyz
play their cards right they can overpower Bellville but they'll need
some breaks and some awesome play calling to do this. I'm going
with Bellville.
Comets vs. Falcons:
The Comets boast about an aggressive Defense and take pride
in that being the reason for their success so far this year. The
Falcons have a very balanced offense and a QB that can take it to the
house if he sees some green. Some QBs in this league can only run
or only pass but Killa Ham can do both and his WR Jefferson and TE
Chubby Moss have great hands. They have a beefy running back in
Westbrooke so if they play their cards right they can frustrate the
Comets D with a balanced attack. The Comets offense is suspect but
has speed and speed kills. Patel is arguably the fastest guy in
the league and they have a tall receiver in D-Luva that can out jump
most D Backs. It comes down to this, I think personnel wise the
Falcons match up better if they're hole team is there. This is the
Falcons game to lose. If they don't turn the ball over on Offense
they will win and Killa Ham takes care of his pig skid pretty well.
I'm picking the Falcons.

Week 4 Predictions Comets
vs. Bombers (prediction bye Juan Madden)
When the Comets have the ball-The bombers secondary overall looked a
little shaky against the SE Boyz minus some really, REALLY bad INTs. The
LBs are solid as usual, it seems like they can plug people in there and
it works for them. The D-line is strong again, and they push in the
backfield and eat up blocks for the LBs to make plays on the run. In the
two preseason games I played against the Comets, the offensive line
wasn't anything special, and they weren't able to generate much of a
running game. I think the Comets main problem is their offense. To win
this game, the offense has to score more than 1 or 2 TD's, which I
haven't really seen on a consistent basis.
When the Bombers have the ball-The Bombers changed from Wing-T to
Shotgun for the tournament, and it's worked out well for them. They're
not putting up the crazy amount of points they did last season on weaker
teams, but the defense is still stopping people from getting into the
endzone. The Bombers offensive line is still big and still strong, and
the Comets D-line, from my personal experience, has a little trouble
staying low and can get pushed around if they don't. The WR's are ok,
some big plays here and there. The main factor I think will be stopping
the TE, which for some reason every team in this league f**kin sucks at
doing just jam the man on the line, its not that hard, and of course
stopping the RB/QB rushing tandem. Figuring out when to contain and when
to pressure the QB will be the main issue for the Comets during passing
plays, and filling the gaps shouldn't be an issue with their speed, but
making the tackle when they get there will be, as the Bombers RB breaks
a ton of tackles.
Final Prediction-I think it'll be one of the closest games of the year,
and it might come down the the last possession of the game, but I'll
take the Bombers 2-1. If the Comets win though, I wouldn't mind playing
their defense so me and my boys get a chance to blow them out.
Broncos vs. Predators
After struggling in their first game with the Comets the Broncos seemed
to have found some new life in their new QB that has lead an offense to
score 8 points in back to back games. Their secondary seems to be
opportunistic and causes turnovers and they have great team speed.
The Broncos Defense will face its toughest challenge to date when they
match up against the leagues leading rusher and single TD scorer in E.
Fox. Dymes (Preds QB) takes care of the football, can run, and
launch the deep ball. The Preds have playoff experience and will
need to execute a perfect game plan on defense to edge this game out.
If they can get pressure on Bellville's QB and force him to make bad
decisions the Predators offense will score enough to win. I'm
taken the Predators in this close game but their Defense will be the X
Factor. If they can hold Bellville to under 3TDs they win the
game. |
