| Fall Brawl Championship - Liners vs. Rams - Sunday 12pm Sayreville |
| Parity has finally been achieved in
TownBeef as 2 teams compete for the Fall
Brawl Championship that were probably not
even mentioned when talking about the
championship game. Both teams lost
their opener by only 1 score but bounced
back to make it to this final game. I still don't know much about the Rams but I have seen their speed. You look around on the Liners defense and theres not a hole lot of speed but they play great defense, don't miss tackles, and are always in pursuit of the football. Their Dline is lead by Hell Raizer who is exactly that for opposing offenses. All though they wear hats and look flat footed the Liners secondary doesn't give up the deep ball and their linebackers like to hit. On offense the Liners have a great backfield in Big Nig and Bikerboy. Both are powerful down hill runners and smart football players. Their TE / Slot guy Carty has created missmatches with linebackers and strong safteys all year when he gets lose. Pete the QB is not as swift on his feet as Kenny but might be a better field general so I don't think it matters who starts QB, there is enough talent to go around on offense to move the football. When the Rams take the ball on offense they have a QB that runs the spread option very well and seems to be the fastest kid in the league. A great running QB and passer will create problems and mismatches in 7 on 7 football as it did for the Bombers a week ago. The Rams have great receivers that can slash down the field while the QB is buying himself time to pass or run. This will always tire a defense and create problems. On defense the Rams are very aggressive and fly to the football. I think if Pete is calling the game he'll find away to negate the pressure whereas Kenny will use his feet to make plays. Either way they will have to stick to a game plan to beat the Rams defense. Can the Rams stop the 2 headed running game of the Liners. Maybe for a little while but eventually one of those kids will find the endzone it's just a matter of how often. Hell Raizer and his boyz will find a way to get to the Rams QB but whose gonna catch him down field if he gets lose? I'm looking for a high scoring game but the Liners have more balance and aren't a team that folds under pressure. They might be down 2 or 3 scores before they start chippen away at the Rams but they're poised to win their first championship and have someone above looking over their shoulder to make sure they do so. The Liners will win the Fall Brawl Championship. |
