Week 1 Predictions
none - first time seeing teams

1. Nightmare vs. Goof Troupe:
   Due some personnel issues Goof Troupe struggled early in this game but it was no walk in the park for Nightmare.  Nightmare drew first blood when scoring on an interception.  Nightmare's passing attack and defense late in the game sealed the deal and they're off to a good start!
    
2. Bombers vs. Predators:
   The Bombers struck early when capitalizing on an interception leading to a rushing TD to go up 1-0.  The Predators struck back quickly grinding out their rushing attack and then throwing a bomb for a TD to tie it up.  The first half was a hard fought struggle setting the tone for an exciting second half.  The Bombers next rushing TD was matched again by a bomb thrown by the Predators QB to tie it up 2-2.  The Bombers RB ran in for a 3rd TD making the score 3-2 Bombers and giving the Predators one last shot to tie the game.  The Predators marched down the field resiliently but not before the Bombers SS (little beast) stripped and recovered a fumble and allowing the Bomber offense to wind down the clock.  This was the closest game of the day!
    
3. Shockers vs. Falcons
   The Falcons appeared to have set the tone early when their running back broke lose for about a 50 yard gain but then put the ball on the ground giving the Shockers their first possession.  The Shockers passing attack was too much for the Falcons Secondary leading to an early TD.  The Falcons got the ball back and their potent running attack was at it again.  During that drive their RB had to leave the game because of an ankle injury forcing the Falcons to try and pass on the Shockers hungry secondary.  The Shockers intercepted the Falcons 4 times and once for a TD leading to a blowout.  Despite the score the Falcons fought back and didn't give up until the last tick on the clock.

Week 2 Predictions
Goof Troop vs. Falcons
If the Goof Troop organizes their personnel and can get a running game going they will be a formidable opponent for the Falcons.  If the Falcons RB is healthy and their Defense can play a full 60 minutes I'll have to go with the Falcons getting their first win.

Bombers vs. Nightmare
The Bombers may be without their starting QB in this match up and it will definitely burden their offense however the Bombers Defense could take over this game.  If the Nightmare can make plays on Defense against a banged up Bomber Offense they have a shot.  Nightmare will have to run the ball to effectively to try and slow down an aggressive Bomber Defense but I like the Bombers in this game.

Shockers vs. Predators - Game of the week!
Size vs. speed in this classic match up between two great teams.  The Predators are hungry after losing a close game in week one and will have to come to week 2 with their A Game to edge this one out.  The Shockers will have to use their size and running game to try and keep the Predators offense on the sidelines to have a chance in this barn burner.  I think speed kills and the Predators will edge this one out in the 4th quarter.

1. Falcons vs. Goof Troop
   We were looking forward to an even match up in this game but the Falcons didn't manage a full 7 guys resulting in a forfeit.  The Falcons QB had a hell of a day rushing the ball and the Goof Troop often threatened deep with their passing attack.
2. Bombers vs. Nightmare
   The Bombers pass rush lead by Beast took its toll early on forcing the Nightmare to make mistakes in their passing game resulting in turnovers.  By the time the Nightmare had time to get their offense on track the Bombers Offense already had sealed the deal.
3. Predators vs. Shockers *
   In a classic match up of speed vs. strength we got exactly that in this game of the week.  The Predators struck first with a quick out pattern that Speedie took to the house for about 70 yards.  The Shockers regained possession and scored on a QB keeper around the left side for about 20 yards.  The Shockers D stone walled Trenton's offense on their next possession and got the ball for the go ahead score.  The Shockers tried breaking the game open with a "Hook and Ladder" that was fumbled and then recovered by Trenton.  This set up E. Foxworth's 30 yard TD to make it 2-1.  The Shockers turned to their muscle grinding out their methodical rushing attack driving 80 yards setting up the game tying touchdown run to make it 2-2.  The Predators drove 50 yards on their next possession but put the ball on the ground setting the stage for a last minute Shocker Drive for the lead.  The Shockers again drove 70 yards grinding out their rushing attack all the way to the goal line.  On 4th and goal from the 2 yard line the Shockers RB got upended by Speedie to save a  sure loss before regulation time expired sending us in to overtime.  Overtime was more the same with the Predators making a stand on Defense and then E. Foxworth catching the game winning Touchdown pass to make it 3-2.  What a game!

Week 3 Predictions
Nightmare vs. Shockers
The Nightmare will have to prove they can stop the long ball in this game because the Shockers like to go deep early to try and take out the other team fast.  If the Nightmare can stop the pass they will then have to stop one of the best ground games in the league.  Another tough one on the schedule for the Nightmare and I like the Shockers in this one.

Bombers vs. Goof Troop
The Goof Troop Offense features a sure armed lefty passer who doesn't make mistakes and throws a great long ball.  The Bombers secondary will be tested as they face the best QB they've seen this season.  The Goof Troop's Defense will have their hands full when they go up against a very balanced offense that can burn you deep or grind out the run with it's Wing T style offense.  The bombers Half Back has been braking big runs for TDs delivering fatal blows to opposing defenses.  I like the Bombers.

Falcons vs. Predators - game of the week
In week 1 we saw a running back on the Falcons that would give any Defense in the league a headache and if he shows up he is definitely an impact player.  If the Falcons think they faced a tough defense in week 1 against the Shockers they will soon realize that the Predators have the fastest and one of the best schemed defenses in the league.  After a tough loss in week 1 and a tie/rematch in week 2 the Falcons are desperate and hungry for an upset against the favored Predators.  Desperate and Hungry are descriptions of an opposing team that most players don't want to face and so I like this for game of the week.  I am picking the Predators but look for the Falcons to make it close.

The Falcons will have a chance if:

• They can mount long drives against a very aggressive Predators Defense.  They will need great play fakes, counters, and other running plays involving their QB in order to tire the Predators Defense.
   
• On Defense the Falcons will have to contain the Predators and not attack them.  Running a 3 across shallow zone with 3 linebackers will take away the QB bootlegs and quick screen passes.  They will have to play their responsibilities and hope for mistakes by the Predators.
   
• Patience is also key.  If the Falcons go for it early on 4th down they can expect to get blown out.  Punt and play for field position.  They need to be in the game all game because they will not be able to mount a comeback.

1. Nightmare vs. Shockers
   The Shockers struck early completing a bomb for about 75 yards down the right sideline and then intercepting the Nightmare on their first offensive series jumping out to an early lead.  The Nightmare improved 100% this week giving the Shockers a fight they may not have expected.  The Nightmare played an awesome second half of football but the damage by the Shockers was done early and the Nightmare couldn't catch up.
2. Bombers vs. Goof Troop
   The Goof Troop features one of the top passers in the league and a potent receiving corps.  Their passing attack kept the Bombers offense off the field for a large portion of the game but when the Bombers got the ball is when things fell apart for the Goof Troop.  The Bombers deceptive offense controlled the line of scrimmage and delivered the fatal blows to take out the Goof Troop.
3. Falcons vs. Predators
   The Falcons started off with their running game giving the Predators run defense all it could handle.  The Falcons drove down the field but then got stopped giving the Predators the ball and giving up a score.  Once again the Predators stuck with their game plan and with a steady mix of running and passing plays they took out the Falcons and improve to 2-1 giving them a 2 game winning streak.  Their Predators defense has faced 3 dangerous offenses in a row and have only allowed 4 points (2nd fewest in the league).

Week 4 Predictions
Goof Troop vs. Predators
The Goof Troop showed moments of Brilliance against the Bombers Defense moving the ball effectively through the air and they're up against another great defense this week.  Once again I don't see the Goof Troop having problems on offense but they need to step it up on Defense in order to have a chance in this game.  I'm going with the Predators.

Bombers vs. Shockers - game of the week
Here we are in week 4 and we find ourselves hosting another game with huge playoff implications.  The Shockers have roasted their opponents this year with the deep threat and the Bombers will have to stop the big play to pull off this game.  Stopping the run has not been a problem yet for the Bombers and shouldn't be this week however the Predators found holes in the Bombers secondary in week 1 so look for the Shockers to try and go deep.  On the other side of the ball it will be the hard hitting Shockers Defense up against a balanced Bombers offense.  The game comes down to the Bombers stopping the deep pass and if they do they'll edge out this close game.

Falcons vs. Nightmare
This is an even match up right here but the Nightmare has the momentum after playing an excellent game against one of the top teams in the league.  I think this game goes the distance and the winner will be the team that stays composed and sticks to their game plan.  The Nightmare has a new QB that is hands down one of the fastest players in the league so it will be interesting to see if the Falcons can slow him down.  I'm going with the Nightmare to get back on track and improve to 2-2.

1. Goof Troop vs. Predators
   This game had upset written all over it when the Goof Troop drove 80 yards in 3 plays scoring on a bomb for a TD.  The Predators scored next to tie it up but the Goof Troop drove again 80 yards in under 10 plays for a TD.  The Goof Troops QB is a serious weapon in this league and needs to be accounted for at all times by any defense.  The versatile Predators made the necessary adjustments on Defense shutting down the Goof Troop in the 2nd half but it was the offensive weapons Dymes and Foxworth that closed the door on any Goof Troop hopes of a come back.
    
2. Shockers vs. Bombers
   The Bombers found out before the game that they would not be facing the Shockers QB that throws some of the deepest balls in the league.  The football gods decided to even the odds when the Bombers starting QB left the game with a high ankle sprain but not before completing a 40 yard pass to Filthy to convert a huge 3rd down and setting up a score.  The Bombers punched it in on that drive on a draw play.  The Bombers backup QB led the offense to 3 scores (1TD pass to Holmes) and no INTs.  It was the Bombers Defense that gets credit for the win today pitching their first shutout since the Nightmare in week 2 against a high powered offense.  The Shockers fall to 2-2 but they will bounce back quickly and lock up a playoff spot for sure.
    
3. Falcons vs. Nightmare
   The underdog Falcons, the Hunting Faclons came to the field today with something to prove.  That something was to prove the idiot who rights these predictions wrong and so I stand corrected but only for the first time this season.  The Falcons were quick to the point of attack on defense intercepting Nightmare passes and taking them to the house for scores.  This was a new Falcons team we have not seen before and they were amped.  They still have some room for improvement on who plays what positions on the Offense but if they figure that out I think they can upset one of the top 3 teams getting their first chance in week 5 against the Bombers.

Week 5 Predictions
Predators vs. Nightmare
Getting the Predators off their game plan is very hard but possible.  The Goof Troop proved they can be beat deep but not often enough to edge out the Predators.  The Nightmare uses two QBs, a runner and a passer.  Both are a good asset to the team but the running QB is one of the fastest guys in the league and could make an impact in this game.  The Predators should win this game.

Bombers vs. Falcons
The Bombers will be without their starting QB again this week and they will call on their Defense to fetch them a win.  The Bombers front 4 on defense are the best in the league and will give the Falcons headaches all day with their hard hitting aggressive schemes.  The Bombers offense has played methodically all season and has been almost mistake free but the Falcons showed today that they can force mistakes and punish you for them buy taking INTs to the end zone.  The Falcons feature great team speed so it will be an interesting change up for the Bombers after facing a team that features brute strength.  I like the Bombers in this game.

Shockers vs. Goof Troop
Goof Troop is getting better each week and features one of the top passers in the league.  The Goof Troop will score in this game using their passing game but I think running the ball will be difficult.  The Shockers will have their starting QB back and will be very prepared this week looking to make a statement that they can bounce back and are still amongst the elite teams in the league.  I like the Shockers.

1. Bombers vs. Falcons
   For those people who thought the Falcons were just an ordinary team found out they're here to win.  It was scary enough for the Bombers to play a hungry 1-3 team but even scarier to find out they possess the most team speed in the league.  Mikie Shakes grinded out the run came lowering the BOOM on the Falcons secondary but the Bombers couldn't break the long gain because of the aggressive D played by the Falcons.  After being sucked in on the run the Falcons D bit on an awesome play fake by the Bombers QB who then tossed a bomb to the HB for a TD.  The Bombers backup QB through 3 TDs but one was called back for a clip.  For the second week in a row it was the Bombers Defense that made their stand holding the falcons to 1 score and only 4 total scores on the season.

Week 6 Predictions
Predators vs. Bombers
#1 vs. #2, a game both teams have had marked on their calendar since the first meeting in week 1 that the Bombers barely edged out.  In week 1 the Bombers were without Beast and it is well known throughout the league that he is a high impact player but can he be the difference maker?  It is also well known that the Predators are one of the best versed teams on defense and posses a lethal trio of weapons on Offense featuring Foxworth, Dymes, and Dez.  This evenly matched game will be decided on turnovers and who capitalizes on them.  I do like the Bombers this week but one of the hardest things to do in football is beat the same team twice. 

Shockers vs. Falcons
You can't tell by their record but the Falcons are playoff bound and they have more team speed then anyone else in the league.  Execution is everything in football and if they can play a full 60 minutes of football they can beat the Shockers.  The Falcons handled the Bombers rushing game better then anyone this season and they will have another tough back to stop in Big Nig.  Drama can burn you deep and Big Nig is a threat to take it to the house on any play.  On the flip side the Shockers defense does not want to be caught in a shoot out with the Falcons.  Ball control is the path to the Shockers win this week.

Goof Troop vs. Nightmare
Ummmmmmmmmmmm.  Fellas?

Predators vs. Bombers
After a 2 week lay off with an ankle sprain Dirtt was back at the helm playing QB and disassembled the Predators defense.  Even though his ankle was about 60% he still directed the offense perfectly throwing for 2 TDs.  The Bombers Defense held off the Predators Quick Screen Type Offense for most of the day but still gave up plenty of Yards to E. Fox and a TD pass in the right corner of the end zone from Dymes.  The Bombers rushing attack supplied by the men up front Ronnie Conners and Bobby Holmes was the reason for the Bombers success.  These 2 O linemen were running down field making fullback type blocks and providing a wall of protection for the Bombers running backs.

Shockers vs. Falcons
When the number 4 team plays the number 2 team you would expect the number 2 team would take care of business.  The Falcons gave the Shockers all they could handle with their rushing attack and defense against the run.  Only losing by one TD the Falcons are knocking on the door week after week and will be a problem for whoever faces them in the Playoffs.  The Shockers stuck with their game plan and Drama through 2 beautiful TDs locking up the victory for the Shock and putting them in the drivers seat for the 2nd seed in the playoffs.

Week 7 Predictions
Falcons vs. Bombers
Week 7 is here and the Bombers look to continue their perfect season against a fast and hungry Falcons team.  After disassembling the Predators and locking up the 1st seed it is possible the Bombers might be looking past the Falcons at the Shockers and if this is so then the Falcons have a chance for what would be the biggest upset in Town Beef History.  If the Falcons can`t get up for this game then something`s wrong.  The last time the Bombers faced the Falcons was in week 5 but without their starting QB so they will need to be extra prepared in the secondary.  It is easy to see the threat Dirt possesses after launching a bomb on the 2nd play of the game for a TD against the Predators.  Unless the Falcons can force turnovers and stop the running game I think the Bombers will win this one.

Shockers vs. Predators
The Predators have played with heart and fire all year and will continue to do so with our without some of the players that have been traded to the Falcons.  If the Predators put #24 at full back and E. Fox at half back, run the ball and play tuff Defense then they can play at the Shockers level.  The Shockers on the other hand are hot right now and firing on all cylinders with their 2 back running threat and strong armed QB.  Look for the Shockers to threaten deep and early as they always do.  If the Predators can force turn overs they can win this game.  I`m picking the Shockers in a close one but I might be bighting my tongue on this prediction.

Falcons vs. Bombers
An early INT thrown by the Bombers QB (first of the season) amped up a Hungry Falcons team giving them great field position and setting the stage for a possible upset, but they failed to capitalize after being stuffed by the Bombers Defense.  The Bombers Defense led by shut down corner Fitz (2 INTs) and the pressure supplied up front by Beast and Animal gave the Falcons offense headaches all day.  The Bombers running game and high percentage, pin point passing attack was not to be stopped by a struggling Falcons Defense.

Shockers vs. Predators
The battle for second place was one of the most entertaining hardest hitting games of the season.  The Shockers capitalized on Turn Overs late in the game stomping on the Predators hopes of a come back.  Early on E. Fox took a 60 yard run to the house after shaking Big Nig out of his shoes.  It appeared the Predators were ready to take this one from the Shockers but then Drama went to work hitting his favorite receiver for a TD.  The Shockers Defense gets credit for this win as they only allowed one score and forced several turnovers leading to their victory.

Week 8 Predictions
Shockers vs. Bombers
These two teams met for the first time mid way through the season ironically without either of their starting QBs.  The Bombers took home the W running the ball effectively and playing a perfect game on Defense.  Will this week be different with the leagues 2 Top offensive players going head to head?  You bet your ass it will be.  Dirtt calls a perfect game and sets his passes up with the run, a methodical approach to offense.  Drama on the other hand goes for the jugular threatening deep and early.  Both offenses have big O lines, good wide outs, and formidable backs.  This game comes down to the other side of the ball.  Can the Bombers Defense take Drama out of his game?  The Bombers may find themselves trailing at some point in this game if the Shockers can rattle their Defensive Secondary.  For the Shockers Defense it will be a question of stopping the run.  Both teams are playing great football and we could be seeing a preview of the Beef Bowl.  The Shockers are hot but I gotta go with Big blue in the season finally Barn Burner.

Falcons vs. Predators
Controversy, trash talk, and down right bad blood between these two teams ensures a hard hitting TOWN BEEF style football game.  The Predators drafted a young QB from the minor leagues with a strong are and swift feet.  Can the veterans on the Predators offense take him under their wings for a win against the Falcons and a shot in the Playoffs?  The Falcons still posses scary speed and an aggressive style defense that may rattle a young QB.  I look for E. Fox and Big Jay to get going with the rushing attack and the Predators Defense led by hard hitting DB Speedie to keep Dymes in check.  I'm going with the Predators in this grudge match.

1. Shockers vs. Bombers
   The score of this game doesn't say a lot about how well the Shockers Defense played against the Bombers causing 2 turnovers, a few 3 and outs, and stuffing the run game.  The Shockers Defense forced the Bombers to take to the air, a lethal mistake that Dirtt capitalized on in the second half throwing 3 TDs with pinpoint accuracy.  The scoreboard did however tell how well the Bombers Defense played led by OLB Bobby Bs and Shut Down Corner Fitz.  The Bombers forced 4 turnovers with their aggressive blitz designed to put pressure on a Dangerous Shockers QB.
    
2. Falcons vs. Predators
   In the first half this game was living up to its predictions of being a hard hitting close game filled with action.  The Predators struck first with an awesome TD run by E. Fox that was then matched by the Falcons.  The game was tied at the half but the Falcons made the necessary adjustments to rally in the 2nd half giving them the victory.

Playoff Predictions
Falcons vs. Bombers
Round 3 in this heavy weight bout between 2 evenly matched teams but now the steaks are higher.  You lose, you go home.  Period.  This reality is on every players mind and will fuel huge plays from both teams.  Big players make big plays in big games.  The match up in this game will be between the Bombers hard hitting aggressive Defense and the Falcons Fleet Footed Offense.  In the first 2 match ups the Bombers offense had the Falcons D guessing all day and I don`t think that will change this week.  The only shot the Falcons have in stopping the Bombers Offense is to cause turnovers.  The Bombers Defense will be playing at a level that no team has seen all year and so the Falcons will need to be sharp and patient to move the ball.  The Bombers Defense leads the league in sacks, turnovers, and Defensive TDs and they`re just disgusting.  I like the Bombers in this match up but it should be a good game.

Shockers vs. Predators
When you think TownBeef rivalries you can`t help thinking about the Predators vs. the Shockers.  Think about the Predators stopping the Shockers on the Goal line before time expired and then beating the Shockers in overtime in week 2.  Then in week 7 the Shockers got their revenge capitalizing on key turnovers to put the Predators down.  This match up is speed vs. strength and the series is tied at 1-1.  Both teams feature a potent running attack in Big Nig and E. Fox but it is the QB position that is in question.  Dymes is no longer with the Predators and the Shockers may be without Drama this week.  This game comes down to Defense.  I don`t think the Predators can stop Big Nig in what could be a shoot out.  I like the Shockers in this game.
