Sayreville Bombers vs. South Brunswick Vikings 2007

Sayreville edged out a feisty South Brunswick team last night that featured one of Middlesex county's top passers in #2 Mohammed Sanu. Sanu has big play capability every time he has the football and all though he made some big plays last night it wasn't enough to hold off the Bombers.

On the other side of the ball Sayreville is digging deep for running backs with 2 of their starters out. #7 Ray Rodriguez accounted for most of Sayreville's rushing yards and the Junior QB, #8 Michael McLafferty displayed good arm strength and accuracy. #22 struggled running the ball against a great Dline in South Brunswick but had a key interception late in the game to help seal the victory. Sayreville's Tight End #89 hauled in some impressive passes (2 pt. conv.) and showed his ability to run after the catch on a screen play. Middle Linebacker #54 had 2 sacks, an INT and was all over the football all night.
